Clarithromycin for infusion BP – Targeting Tough Bacteria with IV Clarithromycin

CLARENDON — Clarithromycin 500 mg
contains Clarithromycin, a broad-spectrum macrolide antibiotic primarily used to manage bacterial infections like throat infections, respiratory infections, gastrointestinal infections, and ear infections. It acts by penetrating the bacterial cell membranes and preventing the translocation of ribosomes (aminoacyl transfer RNA) by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis for bacterial growth and reproduction.

Recommended by specialists:
✅Pulmonologists – for respiratory tract infections like pneumonia, bronchitis, or atypical mycobacterial infections.
✅Infectious Disease Specialists – for severe or resistant bacterial infections, including skin and soft tissue infections, and Helicobacter pylori eradication (as part of combination therapy).
✅ENT Specialists (Otolaryngologists) – for sinusitis, tonsillitis, and throat infections.
✅Gastroenterologists – when used in triple therapy for H. pylori infections associated with peptic ulcers.
